Our team at OLN Inc works hard for many reasons. We want to build up our business, our individual careers, and live lives that influence and make an impact. We put in the work because it is what is expected of us and what we expect for ourselves, not because we are looking for recognition. However, we’re not saying we would turn recognition down either (ha-ha)! Once a year our client hosts a National Conference held in a different place each year somewhere across the United States. This is an opportunity for us all to come together and learn, network, and recognize one another for our accomplishments. This year our team packed our bags and traveled to Atlanta, GA! Continue reading and take a walk down memory lane with us.
One of our favorite work perks is TRAVEL! When we heard that we would be flying to the Peach State, we could hardly contain our excitement. Atlanta is a beautiful, bustling city and we could not wait to walk around downtown and learn from top business leaders in our industry. Based on performance, we extended invitations to 15 core members of our sales, human resources, and management team, packed our suits, and prepped our notebooks. Next stop, ATL!
Now, Atlanta may be one of the most trafficked tourist destinations, but we were there to learn! One of our first stops was at our conference, where we attended leadership breakouts led by the best of the best. These breakouts are designed to teach, develop, and encourage team members into taking the next step in their careers. Whether focused on sales training or leadership development, each breakout was geared around one central theme: be all in. “All gas, no breaks.” We may be biased, but we feel fortunate to work for a company that prioritizes our self-development as high as they do! Did we mention we got to learn from the brightest in the outsourced marketing/sales field? Cool, we know! The highlight of our campaign breakout was seeing our CEO, Elijah, and Human Resources Recruiters, Jessica, and Taj recognized in front of hundreds for their consistency and results generated for the client.
Last stop – the awards dinner! Like we said earlier, we work hard because we have goals to hit, not because we want recognition. But, it does feel great to know that our colleagues and mentors have noticed our accomplishments over the past year. Our client had us dress to the nines and attend their “millionaires’ ball” where we were wined and dined like royalty. Throughout dinner, our industry’s leaders would come on stage and recognize those that exceeded their goals. Elijah represented us on stage during dinner and you better believe there wasn’t a single one of us that weren’t up on our feet!
Here at OLN Inc, we have a saying – work hard so that you can play hard. This has never felt more real than when we were sitting on the plane traveling back to California. We work in an industry full of people that care so much about the success of their colleagues that they plan a conference centered around development, networking, and recognition. We feel thankful, encouraged, and ready to take on the second half of the year. Stay tuned because we are back in Cali ready to break some records!
