There’s a reason that OLN Inc was selected as a 101 Best and Brightest Company to Work for in 2014 and 2015… because of our incredible people! We are proud to staff truly the ‘best and brightest’ professionals in the greater Los Angeles area. We’d like to take a moment to recognize a member of our team who has been a true representation of who we are and who we strive to be as a firm. Michele Metzger has a great leadership presence in our office. She’s very positive, has high energy, loads of charisma, and is always willing to help out. She is ‘down for whatever’, as we like to say, produces consistent results for our client, and is reliable.

In the rest of this blog post, you will hear directly from Michele about her background, career goals, and other interests.

Michele’s Background

I was raised in Cypress, California. I have the BEST older brother, Garrett, whom I’ve grown very close to throughout the years. We were raised by two fabulous parents that constantly kept us busy with either extra curricular activities or some type of educational camping trip. I am the type of person that once I am determined to do something, I am dedicated to making it happen, no matter what stands in my way. So I am so thankful to have parents who didn’t always agree with all my wild ideas, but were very supportive of them.

I enjoyed dancing and gymnastics starting at age 7, show choir in junior high, and I was on the cheerleading team in high school. Another passion of mine came at a young age, thanks to regular visits to my grandparent’s house. I became fascinated by my Grandma’s ability to sew beautiful and original creations. Ever since then, I taught myself how to sew my own clothing by hand and eventually with a sewing machine.

Joining OLN Inc

Before working with OLN Inc, I was working at what was known to be a “biker bar” in Los Alamitos. I had worked in the industry since I was 15 years old, starting in a hostess position, then working my way up to cocktail waitressing and bartending.

To be quite honest, I really didn’t know too much about this field coming into it. Actually, on my very first interview with Elijah, I told him that I wasn’t interested in a sales position. What had caught my eye about this business was the environment and the positive atmosphere it brought! I felt that after working in the restaurant industry for ten years I needed a change of pace.

What I especially love about what I do is how much I have learned being part of the company for only 7 months! I’ve grown so much through these months as a person and as a businesswoman. I have a naturally outgoing personality and I enjoy getting to know our clients.

Outside the Office

I like to spend my spare time with family and going out with friends! It is important for me to set time aside to do what I love most and that is to dance! I also enjoy hiking and camping with friends in the hills, woods, or at the beaches.

Goals

I see myself retired by age 50, and still being a part of this company, expanding the opportunity by helping others achieve their goals. Personally, I want to have traveled the world with my entire family. I want to have my own places scattered around the country, one with my own ranch and houses elsewhere to vacation to.
