OLN Inc Attends Event in Cancun
The president of OLN Inc, his girlfriend, and 4 of our managing partners just returned from an incredible trip to Cancun, Mexico. This R&R event, hosted annually, draws some of the most successful entrepreneurs in the industry. It provides an opportunity to do what we do best: “work hard” (i.e. do some intensive learning and networking), and then “play hard” (i.e. kick back and enjoy the tropics).
This year’s event was held at the Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort. The conference kicked off with a general session and some incredible speeches. One of the most exciting parts was hearing top performers, who had just recently achieved promotions in their respective industries, speak about how they earned their success. The OLN Inc team was struck by the amount of tenacity and perseverance that was required to earn their distinctions. Our president shared, “To hear from someone that pushed through the challenges that 99% of people give up on, is not only motivating but is also a good reminder of the fact that it can be done.”
The management team of OLN Inc also used this conference as an opportunity to set some big goals. The managing partners sat down together to commit to some new challenges for the upcoming year. The group decided that whoever had the most instrumental role in promoting 2 new managers would be rewarded with an all-expense paid trip to a destination of his choice.
With the business portion over, it was time to relax and have some fun. Saturday night featured a traditional Mexican themed dinner with a live band, a faux-blue-man group, a DJ, and a lip-syncing battle. The OLN Inc crew enjoyed some margaritas by the Caribbean sea while catching up with old friends and enjoying great music.
In between the daytime pool and beach activities, OLN Inc took part in a volleyball tournament benefitting Operation Smile. Our president was the captain of his team. His team members weren’t exactly the strongest of volleyball players, so they chose the appropriate team name of “Come On Guys, It’s For Charity”. The team may not have won, but they were proud to contribute to the cause and they had a great time while doing it.
The best part of this annual R&R event is spending time with great people who have worked extremely hard all year to enjoy the fruits of their labor. This year’s event was particularly rewarding, as it was a chance to visit another country and enjoy all the benefits of an all-inclusive resort. Our president shared, “There’s truly some peace of mind in never having to take out your wallet; all the attention is focused on having a great time with people you enjoy being around.”
A successful event, indeed!
